Esther Chapter 9 v18 to Chapter 10

The Festival of Purim, was established by the Jews in 473 BC and is still celebrated by Jews in every country and every culture to this day 2022 AD, that’s 2495 years later.

They’ve never forgotten, never stopped celebrating God’s wonderful Salvation and deliverance.

But in JESUS, because of JESUS, God’s wonderful Son and our wonderful Saviour, we have got something even BIGGER and even BETTER to celebrate.

1: Will you write down and celebrate the things that God has done for you and God has taught you, or will you forget them and it won’t lead to lasting change?

‘God established the law in Israel which He commanded our forefathers to teach their children so that the next generation would know them, even the children not yet born and they would tell their children. Then they would put their trust in God and would not forget His deeds but would keep His commands. Psalm 78: v5-v7.

Question: Do you need to write down the story of God’s grace to you in your life and in your family for your children after you, to read and to remember?

Question: Would it help if you got a little blank Book and began to record your prayers and God’s answers to celebrate God’s faithfulness?

2: Will you celebrate with great JOY God’s wonderful Salvation and our wonderful Saviour Jesus and share with others the JOY that He brought into our lives? Chapter 9 v22.

‘For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.’

Question: Will you intentionally look for ways this week that you can share with those you meet, both in words and little acts of random kindness, the JOY of knowing Jesus as your Saviour, Lord and King?

Question: Will you shine Jesus, share Jesus, spread Jesus by who you are, by the words you speak and the way you live your life this week, so that others will come to know Him too as Saviour?

3: Will you remember that NO matter how difficult and dark the journey of life is at times, in the end we get to celebrate because God is God and our God wins.

‘Then I heard what sounded like a great multitude, like the roar of rushing waters and like loud peals of thunder, shouting ‘Hallelujah! for the Lord God Almighty reigns. Let us rejoice and be glad and give Him the glory! For the wedding of the Lamb has come, and His bride has made herself ready. Then the angel said to me write, ‘blessed are those who are invited to the wedding supper of the Lamb.’’ Revelation Chapter 19 v12.

‘This calls for patient endurance on the part of the saints who obey God’s command and remain faithful to Jesus.’ Revelation Chapter 14 v12.

Question: Having spent all these months studying the Book of Esther, what Life lessons are you going to take away from this series that will actually make a lasting and noticeable difference in you and your family for years to come?
