Esther Chapter 7 & 8

No matter how difficult or desperate your situation seems to be, remember this – with GOD THERE is HOPE, when you take steps of faith and trust Him!

GOOD NEWS – There is HOPE for you, even in your situation, even in these difficult circumstances that you find yourself in right now! GOD is HERE!

‘For Nothing is impossible with God.’ Luke 1:37

‘God can do anything you know, far more than you could ever imagine or guess or request.’ Ephesians 3:21.

‘Ah Sovereign LORD, You made the heavens and the earth by Your great power and outstretched arm. Nothing is too hard for You.’ Jeremiah 32:17

There are no magic wands to make your problems go away. BUT where we trust and follow – God can intervene in the most incredible ways, even when we cannot see Him, feel Him, or even recognise His Presence. He is here and He is GOD!

1: When you have to have a difficult conversation with someone who is over or above you, speak to them with wisdom, tact and respect. God will honour you! Ch 7 v1-10.

‘If I have found favour (grace) with you O King, and if it pleases your majesty, grant me my life…And spare my people.’ v3

‘For if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is LORD and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God and it is by confessing with your mouth that you are saved.’ Romans 10v9.

Q: Are you having difficulty with someone at work who is over or above you? How does this story encourage you when you need to have a difficult conversation?

Q: Are you willing to openly identify yourself as a Christian along with God’s people? Do your family, friends, work colleagues know if you belong to Jesus and are one of God’s people?

2: Can we really pray and care about Christian brothers and sisters throughout the world who are suffering horrendous persecution simply because they are God’s people?

‘Now O King issue the decree and put it in writing so that it cannot be altered, in accordance with the laws of the Medes and Persians which cannot be repealed.’ Daniel 6v8

‘For NOTHING is impossible with God. Luke 1v37

Q: Why not pick up some ‘Open Doors’ booklets on the persecuted Christians and then pray in an informed way?

Q: Our Father God loves to change situations as we really cry out to Him in prayer for our brothers and sisters around the world, who are in trouble. Will you take new steps to pray?

3: Isn’t it fantastic, the joy the Gospel brings when people hear the Good News of salvation and their lives are transformed and changed forever?

‘But the believers who had been scattered from Jerusalem went everywhere preaching the Good News about Jesus. Philip for example went to the city of Samaria and told the people there about the Messiah. Crowds listened to what he had to say because of the miracles that he did. So there was great joy in that city.’ Acts 8 v4-8

‘This same Good News that came to you is going out all over the world. It is changing lives everywhere, just as it changed yours that very first day you heard and understood the truth about God’s great kindness to sinners.’ Colossians 1v6

Q: Our vision as a church is to make disciples of Jesus among our neighbours and the nations so that lots of people might experience the JOY of salvation. Will you work together to make the Saviour known by your life and by your words?
