Sermon Notes: Ecclesiastes Chapter 7 verse 1 to 13. Imagine changing the whole way that you look, not just your appearance, but the whole way that you look at life and the way that you are living life. 1: Look again at the painful times you go through in your life and learn to value them more – you can learn so much through them. V1, ‘A good name is better than fine perfume, and the day of death better than the day of birth.

- Ecclesiastes Chapter 5.

Sermon Notes: Ecclesiastes Chapter 5. 1: Be very careful what you do before you come into a Worship Service. V1. ‘Guard your steps when you go to the house of God. Go near to listen rather than to offer the sacrifice of fools, who do not know that they do wrong.’ V1 ‘What is more pleasing to the LORD: your burn offerings and sacrifices or your obedience to His voice. Obedience is far better than sacrifice.

How do we create a genuinely caring church family in a society where people are feeling very lonely and very much alone in this work? 1: Life is lonely – when you feel that no one cares about you and the troubles that you are going through. V1-3. ‘I looked and saw. I saw the tears of the oppressed and they had no comforter.’ V1. ‘But better off than either, are those who have never been born.

This Chapter reminds us that we are running out of time, and that once it is gone, it can never be recovered. You know what they say? Time waits for no one! Questions: What am I working for? What am I living for? What am I doing all of this for?
